Francis writes Exams!
Francis has been asked by the Ontario Association of Architects' C/ARE Task Group to help write the questions for the Canadian Architect Registration Exam. In 2006, the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) together with the Alberta Association of Architects (AAA) and the Ordre des architectes du Quebec (OAQ) signed an agreement to share the responsibility for designing and developing the new 'made-in Canada' exams. Presently, Intern Architects wishing to become licensed Architects are required to write the US-based National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) exams. The new Canadian exams hope to ensure "relevancy, effective delivery, and administrative control" of the complete professional competency testing process for each provincial association. The implementation of this Canadian version of the entrance exams is schedule for the Spring of 2008.
