Bent Wood Technology

A succession of experiments under the mentorship of thesis advisor Richard Kroeker led to the construction of several small diameter timber trusses. Advancing the relationship between nature and technology, these structurally sound bent wood trusses create an aesthetic, economic and environmentally friendly structural system. Also, since they are responsive to the needs and resources of remote communities, they support Lapointe Architects' commitment to finding new and improved solutions for the on reserve housing problem.
