This mixed-use development sets a precedent for the vacant intersection of Altona Plaza and Finch Avenue. By minimizing visual obstructions through sunken parking, the plaza’s commercial presence is strengthened at the major intersection it occupies. An elevated and offset second floor daycare utilizes the commercial rooftops as protected playgrounds while providing a sheltered kiss-and-ride below.
