Blythdale House
Toronto, Ontario
Lapointe Architects collaborated with celebrated Architect Claudio Gantous of Mexico to create a contemporary family home in a suburban setting that is energy-efficient and suited to local codes and climate. Natural finishes include rough and honed stone, exposed concrete planters and polished floor slabs, cedar siding accents and copper trim. An interior three-storey garden encourages floor-to-floor views and the movement of air while passive solar and hydronic in-floor heating ensure occupant comfort.
