Skiff Cove House
Wellington, Ontario
Set in an urban lot adjacent to 18 ft high limestone cliffs, this house is oriented to focus views south to Lake Ontario and the dunes of Sandbanks Provincial Park. A glazed sunroom complete with vaulted ceilings and stone fireplace overlooks the lake while glazed doors provide access to the south facing courtyard. Cladding materials include stone, wood siding and Galvalume metal roofing, accented by a reclaimed timber pergola. In-floor hot water heating ensures owner comfort thru winter storms.
