Lapointe Architects is pleased to announce the hiring of Katherine Kurtz. B.A.S. and Michael del Puerto, Dip. Arch. Tech.
Katherine has a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from Carleton University (2004). While studying at Carleton, Katherine was an active member of the Students' Design Clinic (www.arch.carleton.ca/clinic) which offered design services to the general public. Katherine also worked as a Teaching Assistant in her third and fourth year of studies. Since graduation, Katherine has been working with an Ottawa Architectural firm that specializes in sustainable architecture.
Michael is a graduate of George Brown College's Architectural Technologist Program (2007). Michael was job captain of the winning design for the World House Project hosted by the Institute Without Bounderies (http://institutewithoutboundaries.ca). Michael brings several skills to the office, including a proficiency with AutoDesk VIZ and Revit 8.0, two software programs that are used to create complex 3D renderings and construction documents.
We are sure that they will make a wonderful addition to the team.
